Melo to the Knicks?
According to Michael Kay on ESPN 1050 New York, the Knicks will make a trade offer to the Nuggets in order to acquire disgruntled forward Carmelo Anthony. As stated by Kay and cited by his sources, the Knicks will offer Gallinari, a first round pick, and Eddy Curry in their first attempt to acquire Melo.
Personally, I absolutely love Gallinari’s style of play and passion for both the game of basketball and for the New York Knicks. I think he has the potential to be as good as Dirk Nowitzki, but I understand you have to give in order to get. If Gallo isn’t involved in the trade for Melo then surely Anthony Randolph, who I also love and think has the potential to be a better vesrion of Lamar Odom, will be involved in the trade. Either way the Knicks will have to give up one of their top young talents, but I don’t believe they should give up both Gallo and AR in order to get Melo, especially since Melo will be a free-agent at seasons end.
