Knicks Adding a Pick?
Hoopsworld.com is reporting that the New York Knicks are close to acquiring the 30th overall pick in this years draft from the Chicago Bulls. They are also reporting that the Knicks are very interested in players like Andrew Goudelock and Darius Morris, both point guards. I think Goudelock will definitely still be available in the second round even though he is a volume scorer, but Morris would be a great pick at 30. Hoopsworld.com is also saying that the Knicks will likely draft Marshon Brooks if both he and the Knicks are still there at 17. Personally, I don’t think Brooks is a good fit for the Knicks. He’s a guy who takes a lot of shots and needs the ball in his hands to be effective, not the right fit for a team with two stars who will have the ball almost 100% of the time. If the Knicks can buy a second round pick then I like Goudelock. He can shoot for miles and is very adept to getting in the lane and creating his own shot. The Knicks also like Chandler Parsons, the 6-10 stat stuffer out of Florida. So don’t be surprised if the Knicks take Parsons with a potential second round pick as well. For what it’s worth, Melo loves fellow Baltimore native Josh Selby. For the record, I think he’s way too much of a project right now. If they draft him then I think it’s because he has a lot of upside and could be a piece in a trade for CP3.
